Lawrence of Arabia - (1965)

In 1916 most of the Middle East lay under the domination of the Turkish Empire, with which the Allies were at war. On October 16, there landed at the port of Jeddah a slight blond, Anglo-Irish soldier 'filled with the idea of freeing people,' and who had chosen the Arabs as the 'only suitable ones left.'
