The Day Of The Triffids is based on the classic post-war 'science fantasy' novel written in 1951 by the English science fiction author John Wyndham. The world is suddenly invaded by a new and dangerous species of plant, 7-foot-high monsters, which can propel themselves on their three-pronged roots. Can scientists find a way of destroying them before they take over the world?... Six episodes of approx 30 minutes each in high quality MP3 (Bitrate : 128 Mode : joint stereo Frequency : 44100 Hz) - some slight crackling is audible at times - but then the archive tapes were almost 39 years old.
