The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels for children written by C. S. Lewis. It is considered a classic of children’s literature and is the author’s best-known work, having sold over 100 million copies in 47 languages.
Between 1999 and 2002 Focus on the Family produced radio dramatisations of all 7 books.
The production included a cast of over a hundred actors
(including Paul Scofield as “The Storyteller” and David Suchet as “Aslan”)
An original orchestral score and cinema-quality digital sound design.
The total running time is slightly over 22 hours.
Douglas Gresham, the stepson of C. S. Lewis, hosts the series.
