Spot My Mistake

Does anyone out there recall a mystery/detective radio program that would have aired in northern England in the late 1930's  or 1940's?  I have a friend that recall such a program, but I couldn't find any reference to it on line.

It may have been Spot My Particular or Deliberate Mistake.   Thanks, Lynn

  • Wayne, no ON THE SPOT was an Edgar Wallace novel about Chicago gangsters.

  • MANY A SLIP had a similar idea but it was on in the 1960s and 1970s.

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I will look into this show. Another possibility is Monday Night At Eight with Ronnie Waldman. "His specialty was Puzzle Corner with its deliberate mistake which listeners were invited to spot in time for next week's show."

  • Could the title be On the Spot by Edgar Wallace? Episodes are listed on the BBC Genome Project here - http://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/search/0/20?adv=0&q=edgar+wallace+on...
