This is really from 1975 not 1950
Here is a note from the person who recorded it off the radio
The set that was shared here was one of my first encoding efforts 7 years ago. I recorded the series on cassette in Los Angeles in the 80s from a public radio station that was rebroadcasting 1970s BBC serials at that time, probably acquired from BBC Worldwide, which occasionally subdivides hour-length dramas for 30-minute slots.
My 12 x 30min set probably corresponds to the 6 x 60min Classic Serial that originally ran from 16 Nov to 21 Dec 1975. There were no credits in the US rebroadcast. The cast members I know about in the 1975 production are Elizabeth Counsell, Frank Barrie and Eleanor Summerfield, but I don't know any of their voices to identify in the US rebroadcast.
