I heard about this last year, possibly via Roger in the District Messenger, and duly forgot about it. Recently I came across this avi version. I don't have any type of subscription TV so I don't know if it has aired on UK TV. I do vaguely recall that when I first heard about it that there was no planned UK airing.

There is another documentary that, as far as I know, is only available on DVD and goes by the same name of 'The Real Sherlock Holmes'. It's bloody awful if my my memory serves well. The docu wiki does have a page for it if you want to find out more.
