    • Yes indeed, many thanks!   This recording is new to me!

  • I was listening to BBC Radio 4's Last Word last Sunday - it was the first I heard of Williamson's death.

"Actor who has died aged 75.
Nicol Williamson was acclaimed as one of the finest actors of his generation. He played many of the leading Shakespearean roles and on screen was Merlin in Excalibur and a drug addicted Sherlock Holmes in The Seven Per Cent Solution. The Glasgow born actor could be mercurial and sometimes aggressive and was noted for edgy performances.
Last Word hears from his son Luke and from the drama critic Benedict Nightingale.
    Born 14 September 1936 and died 16 December 2012."

  • Thanks Ryan.

I haven't listened to any version of HOUN for....ummm....at least a week. it was last Saturday actually. Looks like it's going to be another HOUN weekend with this and Sherlock's Hounds of the Baskerville tomorrow.

      Glad to help out.

I was hoping to find someplace that people would really like these. Glad I stumbled across this site.  Actually I was looking to update some of my OTR material and found the OTRR Group and then here and now this.
