Synopsis
‘The Adventure Of The Perfidious Mariner is a delicious little murder mystery that ends on a fantastic cliffhanger, that I hope will be grabbed by both horns and lead us into the next series of Holmes mysteries, which quite frankly, can’t arrive soon enough. The game is most definitely afoot…' (Tim, Mass Movement)
It is the long, oppressive summer of 1912. Four months ago the RMS Titanic was lost to the Atlantic. In Europe the drumbeats of war grow louder.
These things have yet to touch Mr Sherlock Holmes who, estranged from Dr Watson, lives in reclusive retirement on the South Downs. The world’s foremost criminal investigator has turned his back on the past, hiding from the world and thinking himself immune to its excesses. Yet he is about to be faced by an old friend, to encounter the most hated man in England and to grapple with the painful implications of the Titanic disaster. More troubling still, he will be forced to try to solve a new and unexpected mystery – one of the most diabolical and fiendish murders with which he has ever been confronted…

OK I have some time today so I'll do some copy and paste to describe the shows which feature Holmes but are not part of the main series. These are the ones I'm aware of and there could be more.
The series 2 links I posted in the previous post are for Sendspace. These shows I'm posting today are on my Dropbox. I'll try to keep all of them available for as long as possible but I only have free 2GB accounts for both and I use them a lot. So if you're reading this post sometime in the future the links might not work. If so post your request.
I was trying to work out why I had The Confessions of Dorian Gray 1.5 The Fallen King of Britain as there's no mention of Holmes in the synopsis and cast list. A little search and a listen and now I remember. The story of 1.5 sets up the story for the X1 episode. Dorian Gray mentions Holmes a few minutes from the end. But Nicholas Briggs' Holmes does not appear in the 1.5 episode.
The Worlds Of Big Finish extra titled Round the Worlds is an hour of interviews mostly. I haven't listened to it myself.
To begin with, the Dr Who episode.

The Library of St. John the Beheaded contains the most dangerous books in all creation so when some of them are stolen who else should the Vatican call but Sherlock Holmes?
Immediately, one of the possible suspects seems more suspicious than others. He has no traceable background, refuses to give straight answers and hides behind a pseudonym. However, Holmes and his loyal friend Watson soon realise this suspect is also their greatest hope: war is brewing and an Old God is rising, to save humanity they need The Doctor as much as he needs them.

From the streets of Edwardian London to the corridors of a near-infinite library in the distant future, a single book holds the key to the fate of life on Earth.
Some believe it predicts our future – and the apocalypse - with unnerving accuracy. Others will stop at nothing to destroy it, and will chase it from one side of the universe to the other; from a country house in the Roaring Twenties to the casinos of Mars, and from 221B Baker Street to the terrifying desert world of Sisyphus IX…
Featuring Abby and Zara, Sherlock Holmes, Dorian Gray, Iris Wildthyme, Vienna Salvatori and Bernice Summerfield, The Worlds of Big Finish brings together some of Big Finish’s best-loved characters in an adventure spanning thousands of years!
This release includes a fourth bonus disc - Round the Worlds - where director Scott Handcock leads a roundtable discussion with writer and cast about this special adventure, plus a selection of outtakes from recording.

Holmes' Christmas Quest
24 December 2013
Duration: 5 minutes
This Christmas eve for you: a brand new, original, free Sherlock Holmes story.
As a thank you to our Big Finish family we've recorded a special Sherlock Holmes story for Christmas.
Starring Nicholas Briggs as Sherlock Holmes and written by Kris Griffin, the world's greatest detective embarks on the greatest mystery of them all, the mystery of Saint Nicholas.
Thanks for the info Jake. Must admit I'm confused by the description for Worlds of BF. Is Holmes in all 6 parts - or just in Part 2. Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Bloomsbury Bomber? I'm not a Dr Who fan so I may give these a miss - but I'm grabbing the Xmas Freebie as that's a pure Holmes story.
Thanks again for your uploads.
Charlie
Holmes is not listed in any other section than part 2!
He isn't listed in the cast of part 2! He's in the generic cast list (along with all the major characters) before part 1. Prima facie that precursor listing would apply to all 6 parts. Hence my question.
Seems to me that for the non-existent price there is no reason to hem and haw, just download it and if it's not to your liking just press the D-E-L-E-T-E Button. ------------------------------- R
Merci Jake!
Thank you to any and all who post these shows, just knowing that someone has had to pay almost $43.00 to purchase each show's CD and then go to the trouble of ripping them and uploading them more then speaks of your generosity.
It would be wonderful to see more people posting things here in the Holmes group, especially considering that we have lost Bob and his massive collection, any additional posts are surely welcome!
Kind wishes to you Monsieur Jake, vous etes tres aimable
Jake - Many thanks in anticipation. If it's not too much to ask, as well as 2.02 and 2.03 I'd certainly appreciate 5 (Sacrifice) and would also be interested in the Holmes Xmas freebie.
What exactly are the Holmes bits from the 3 non-Holmes sets? Are they separate SH stories - or stories in which SH plays a walk-on bit-part?
Thanks again
Charlie
Season 5 was posted by somebody in one of the other TP groups. I can't recall which. I also can't recall the bitrate. I do have it in it's highest bitrate that Big Finish offers, 256kbit. I can upload it if you want it.
A quick search or go straight to the Big Finish website will explain what the other titles are about.
I have uploaded all of season 2 to begin with. They all come in two parts. I think this is the best of all the seasons with it's mix of some canon. Sendspace links -

I found s5 over in the Headphones Preferred group (not one I've visited before). Not sure why it was there rather than here. Unfortunately there are only links to parts 1, 2 and 4. I've put in a request for the missing Part 3: The Beast in the Darkness.
