At first glance, I've noticed a number of egregious errors (the CBSRMT set is just wrong, ) and at least two misattributions (the "Shelton-Martin" <sic> "Three Garridebs" is actually a Hobbs-Shelley episode of the same name, as a simple comparison will show. The intro and outro music, the phraseology and the timbre of the voices makes this clearly a Hobbs episode.
I'm off to brunch, so further error detection will have to wait. :>)
If you REALLY want a good Holmes radio collection, all you need do is join us at always1895.com (where the Hofstra works have been sitting fior months, btw).

I'm not sure how to join always1895--I hate to ask to be invited, it seems a bit presumptuous.
No presumption at all. :>) All that is required is a sincere appreciation of The Master and his Boswell.
The Gasogene will send you the details in a private message.

I went to the ALWAYS1895 website, but encountered dead links when I clicked on "CONTACT US" or "THE SOCIETY (private)". Is the always 1895 site under construction? Any help would be appreciated.

Send Bob a message via the Times Past message system. Clicking his name should bring up a page with a link like 'Send a message'.
Click his picture on anything he posts or comments and it will take you to his homepage where you will find on the left the link to send a PM. ------------------------------------------- Rick
Thanks, Bob--I have been under the spell of Doyle since I was a wee tike.

I have the 2 Hofstra episodes on my SkyDrive account as well under the North American section. However Bob's always1895 FTP has much more than my SkyDrive account or what you will find here on TP. It's the best collection of Holmes audio online you'll find. At least it's the best I know of anyway.
By the by have you ever read The Universal's entry for the Hofstra shows? Here goes:
1968 Carl Pilo and Lou Tripani
C20809. -- B4588. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Hempstead, Long Island. N.Y.: Hofstra University. WVHC, Fall 1968. 13 programs.
Credits: Producers, Jay Arnold and Frank Grundstein.
Partial cast: Carl Pilo (Sherlock Holmes), Lou Tripani (Dr. Watson.)

I may have a line on all 13 shows. It seems that Peter's wife knows the widow of one of the principals in this series (not sure who).
Keep your fingers crossed.
Good luck, Bob!
