  • Thank you for supplying that wonderful skit.  As a gentleman of 'that age' I must confess that the Rathbone, Bruce combination was the only real Sherlock and Watson of my generation.  That includes the films where Bruce continued to do the upper class mutter.  I actually sat at the computer and laughed out loud at Rathbone's rendition of Watson and his mumbles. Great stuff.

  • I guess I'd just be party-pooping if I said I posted this in the 2nd Rathbone Bruce discussion. I won't even add a question mark to the end of that. It's on page 4.

    2nd Rathbone Bruce discussion.

I'm glad I checked the discussion actually. The I Hear of Sherlock Holmes Everywhere podcast recently mentioned that extracts from the unpublished Bruce auto-bio Games, Gossip and Greasepaint are on the internet and I've been meaning to read them properly but couldn't remember where they were. Thanks Jeremy for posting them.

  • Funny, Maybe John and I should switch sometime?
    • I think that such a switch would be fun. Get MJ Elliott to write a special epsidoe for the swap!

Just don't even THINK of swapping Harry Nile roles with Murphy!

    • I'd much rather hear you and John.

I cannot admit to ever having liked Bruce as the Chronicler, but as a comedian he is completely out of his element. Rathbone doesn't seem so out of place however.

    • Thank You and Yes I would like to listen to listen to a switch with Larry as Sherlock Holmes.  Indeed, I can envision it in my minds eye.  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------  Rick
