I wanted to give some background info but this post would be huge. All I can say is if your even partly interested after listening to this then read the wikipedia pages.
That's Wold Newton as in Wold Newton, East Riding, Yorkshire, UK. Sound familiar? It should do if you've read the William Baring-Gould bio of Holmes.
Both of these are from the Farmer collection Venus On The Half Shell And Others.
There are a couple of stories of interest to us here. The main piece is 'The Adventure Of The Peerless Peer by John H Watson'. A pastiche that has Holmes chasing von Bork (His Last Bow) down to Africa where he bumps into Lord Greystoke. It's almost 3 hours long.
The other is 'The Problem Of The Sore Bridge Among Others by Harry Manders' and is introduced as just as much a Sherlockian pastiche as a Rafflesian one. AJ turns sleuth and solves a few cases of Holmes' problems (mentioned at the start of Thor Bridge) It's about an hour and a quarter.
I've read a few reviews of this book and they usually mention how skilful Farmer is (was - he died in 2009) weaving these crossover stories. I must agree. I really enjoyed listening to both of them.
I will upload one at a time. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. They are read by Christopher Paul Carey. Mono. 44.1 / 64kbps.

Here's a 3rd file with a vague connection to the above.
The Adventure Of The Metal Murderer by Fred Saberhagen.
There's a collection of stories titled Sherlock Holmes Through Time And Space edited by Isaac Asimov. I'm not sure if an audio book version exists.
It includes the Raffles pastiche already posted as well as another Farmer story A Scarletin Study and this story The Adventure Of The Metal Murderer.
A list of all the stories is here
The version here of Metal Murderer is from another Asimov collection titled Sci-Fi Private Eye. This is the only Holmes story in the collection. It’s a time travel story that starts in the distant future and then goes back to 19th century Baker Street. It's about 20 minutes long. 44.1 / 128 kbps. The version here of Metal Murderer is from another Asimov collection titled Sci-Fi Private Eye. This is the only Holmes story in the collection.
Actually, it's not. :>)
Poul Anderson's The Martian Crown Jewels also appears in that collection . It's a wonderful Holmes satire.
I've started another thread for it.Well I've grabbed the old service revolver but can't remember where I read the review that said it was the only Holmes story. Oh well I'm low on ammo anyway:)
Thanks for finding that out. I think I still have the whole book in my torrent client. (5 stories and intro)
Ahhh ... there's the rub ...
That torrent is NOT "the whole book." It's an excerpt. The book has NINE stories. It's only "complete" in the sense that it represents the enrtire ABRIDGED audiobook. :>)
Yeah I had trouble working out what was what. From one piece I read I got the impression that there were 3 volumes of Sci Fi Private Eye. I'm not sure if the article was talking about books (of the paper variety) or audio books. The audio book torrent version of Sci Fi PE I have has the 5 stories and intro.
It would be great to track down the Through Time & Space Aussie audio book. I'd like to hear Farmer's A Scarletin Study.
The Durcum abridgment of Sci-Fi Private Eye is the third volume in their series, which inckludes two other wholly separate anthologies.
There IS an audio version of the complete nine-story original book, but I haven't located a copy yet.

Is there another part to The Peerless Peer?

According to WorldCat, the only audio version was produced by the Western Australia Association for the Blind in 1986.
No library is known to have a copy.
