This leaves only Silver Blaze and The Greek Interpreter. I don't have tape versions of these, just the US broadcast versions already uploaded by Howie. Each was in two parts when I received it some years ago but in each case I have edited the stories into a single part. I know that some of you will disapprove, but I found the reprise at the beginning of each part 2 very tedious. Apologies to anyone who is offended by my hacking the shows about. (I understand that when the series originally went out on the London Broadcasting Company the episodes were between 5 and 10 minutes long, so the US versions are themselves re-edits!)
Here's Silver Blaze
When you try to put them back to where they should be I do not disapprove. I am not fond of putting shows together that were never broadcast that way, but I also belive that free will and personal preference have thier place too. When I find edits that are different than the broadcasts I usually post the unedited alonside just for freedom of choice.LOL Thank You for these!--------------------------------------Rick
Well, it would have been Silver Blaze if the thing had worked. I'm sitting here in Shetland (small islands off the north of Scotland). We're right at the end of the line so it's a miracle this works at all.
I'll try again for Silver Blaze.
Rick,
Thanks for your comments. I've found lots of wonderful things on the site and feel I need to contribute something in return.
Howie,
OK, I'll begin at the beginning. The tape version of A Study in Scarlet runs 2 hours 20 minutes. I have MP3'd it in 5 parts.
To keep the computer happy I'll have to do one part at a time. Here's part 1.
