Mr Douglas Wilmer in Conversation

Douglas Wilmer speaks about himself and his career at The Sherlock Holmes Society’s March Meeting held on Tuesday 24th March 2009 at The Savage Club, housed in the premises of the National Liberal Club. Primarily this is the launch of Douglas Wilmers memoirs 'Stage Whispers' and an opportunity to hear him in conversation with Mr Nick Utechin discussing his acting career in general and his role as Holmes in particular. Some of you may know that Wilmer was considered by many to be 'THE' quintessential Sherlock Holmes, which he portrayed for BBC tv in the mid 60's. All credits are due to the "The Sherlock Holmes Society of London" both for having an evening set aside for this wonderful actor and for making it available for us to listen.
