The Verdict Of Us All - New Stories From The Detection Club

with a foreword by Dick Francis

edited by Peter Lovesy

read by Ric Jerrom and Sheila Mitchell

A nice little find in the cassette audio book section of my local library earlier this week.

I vaguely recall hearing about this story and book and I think it must of been around when it was released which was 2007 apparently. After that I guess it fell off my radar.

I'm toying with the idea of ripping the whole book, which is something like 8 cassettes, and putting it in the Spoken word section. It's just a matter of finding the time. There's only one Holmes story but it has stories from the likes of Colin Dexter, PD James, Peter Lovesy, Simon Brett and HRF Keating.

This Len Deighton piece is just under an hour long and as it's read by a male I think it's safe to conclude it's read by Ric Jerrom.

Without further ado here it is -

  • How fun!  I didn't know that Deighton had written anything Sherlockian.  I love his thrillers, and also really dig his alt-history SS-GB.  Thanks for sharing this here.
    • Ditto Julia - I thought SS-GB was a great book!

Cheers for putting this up Jake - downloading now..
