  • Extras as well. I wonder if they will make it to iPlayer.

I vaguely recall reading that New Year's Day is when it will go out on the BBC in the UK. With more episodes, (3 episodes again?) later in the year.

I have put a 720p mp4 of the iPlayer trailer for this on Sendspace. It's 33MB.

  • Am I reading the schedule correctly?
It will be in the selected theatres Jan 5&6,
but it will be broadcast as PBS's big
    New Year's Day TV special.

So I have to spend a week with my
fingers in my ears, chanting "No Spoilers!"?

  • A possible birthday idea (for myself).
I dropped a hint to my family that
clanged like a cast iron frying pan
    on a marble floor.

  • And now for the trivia ...

The title of the special is "The Abominable Bride."

Anyone care to cite the Canonical reference on which that title is based? (Roger and MJ are disqualified.)

    • I'll take a stab. Is it a reference to " Ricoletti of the club-foot, and his abominable wife" from "The Musgrave Ritual?"

    • DING! DING! DING!  We have a winner!

    • Yay!

    • Not to be confused with "Merridew of abominable memory" (EMPT)

  • Speechless with excitement! Thanks for the heads-up, Bob.

    • Peter and I will be going. Our wives suggested that we might enjoy the show more if we didn't have to stop every two minutes to explain it to them.  :>)

I'm guessing that the DVD release will include the two short videos referenced in the copy.
