For American radio, the heroine of Holmes on the radio was Edith Meiser, an actress who loved the stories and was convinced they would make great listening. She scripted several Conan Doyle stories and took them around. Meiser entrepreneured a fitting sponsorship for the show herself, and went back to the network triumphantly. Beginning in the early 1930's, she single handed wrote the show for over a dozen years, first working from the Conan Doyle canon, and then continuing to create stories in the spirit of the originals. A spot of crass commercialism seeped into the old time radio show from the start, as Watson himself, played by various actors, took on the co-host role with a spokesman for G. Washington Tea as a visitor ready to hear a Holmes story. Before a blazing fire with tea always at the brew, Watson reminiscences the great tales between comments on how good the tea is!

I noticed that the Old Times Radio Researchers newsletter "The Old Radio Times * Winter 2019 * Number 105" page 45 lists among their new acquisitions the following shows:
Sherlock Holmes 321005 076 The Empty House Part 2 (256-44).mp3 Sherlock Holmes 321102 080 The Three Students Part 1 (256-44).mp3 Sherlock Holmes 330315 098 Death at Stonehenge (256-44).mp3
The newsletter states that distributions are available to OTRR Purchasing Group members first, and then made available to the public after about six months.
Hello. I have only started collecting these wonderful stories. I do not have 330315 098 Death at Stonehenge and was not aware that it was available. Where might I obtain a copy?
I've noticed that often times, they take longer than 6 months to post the newly acquired eps to their site. They had acquired a bunch of high quality Lights Out episodes that took closer to a year to get posted after the initial announcement in their newsletter. In the end it was worth the wait, as many of the episodes were significant upgrades. They take of their paying members first, and then take care of the general public later. I know they rely on their members' monetary contributions to fund the process of obtaining, cleaning up, and transferring the acquisitions, so the process is completely understandable. I am, however, really looking forward to those 3 shows you mentioned getting posted!!!

It took me longer than I thought to listen to the shows. Again, I really appreciate your posting. The show called 321005 EMPT is really the same episode "The Three Students" as 321102 3STU. Do you have the third show "The Empty House"?
Apologies for the muddle. The correct file is now in place (I hope)!

Wow, thank you so much for these Douglas! I am curious, however, since these are files are 64 kbps, are they from a different source than Old Time Radio Researchers? I know OTRR had listed in their newsletter that they had procured these 3 episodes in a 256 kbps bit rate format. I am not complaining at all, but I was simply curious...
