An ordinary, elderly couple take all the advised precautions to protect themselves in the
event of a nuclear holocaust. The play examines their predicament, with humour as well
as compassion, before and after the event.

Just browsing and this thread reminded me of the new Briggs' work on TV in a couple of days time.
I don't like Raymond Briggs and I never have - but without doubt I admire and love his work. I suppose those two things aren't neccesarily mutually exclusive. Even though I don't like sad endings, I'm looking forward to this.
