SNT 1981-09-12
In this science fiction spoof, the year is 1988 and for the people of Earth, the unbelievable has happened, the inconceivable is reality.
Life has reached out to life across the stars and spoken with a recognisable human tongue. The strange object that appeared,
without warning, on the far side of the moon has been successfully recovered and, subjected to rigorous scientific analysis, proved
beyond doubt to be of Extra-Terrestrial origin.
The strange object contains a message from an astronaut lost in space five years earlier. He is alive and well and has just won the
Great Quest on the planet Nede. ...

The correct sequence is YYYY-MM-DD if year is first. If year is last, then you have trouble, as the Brits and Yanks do it differently.
The YYYY-MM-DD is preferred, as it allows sorting by year, then month, then day.
It's easy to check for SNT dates,as most of the time only one of the teo possibilities is a Saturday. :>)
Thank You Bob, now I have to remember it LOL. BTW, I just put a new one and there are a couple others I think in Horror, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rick
Rick:
The date should be 1981-09-12 (September 120
December 9 was not a Saturday.
Thanks, I always mess up the way dates are written when they are written with the year first. It should be written how? Year- month-day? My whole life I always dated things Month/day/year Is it different for English dating compared to American? This is really messing with my OCD. LOL ------------------ Rick
Hi Rick,
When I was at school here in the UK in the 1950's I was taught day, month and then the year.
What they teach these days I really don't know.
Should we start a campaign to use the names of the month in dating things?
If only I used twitter or facebook I might be tempted to start the ball rolling.
William
No Willam, I was just asking for my own information. In the US I was taught Month /day/year. Many things I find on the net start out with the year and that is what confuses me. I will gladly do as Bob says and do it YYYY-DD-MM when it is not labelled. If I download a "blurb" intact I will just leave it as is. There are many forms and order of date around the world but I will defer to what Is most prevalent. Thanks for your help, it is appreciated. My 64 year old brain can still learn, I think, but it gets increasingly difficult. LOL ------------------- Thanks again ----------------------------- Rick
