Dry Smoke & Whispers

Here's an otherworldly science-fiction adventure from Transdimensional Media. Combining the humor and imagination of Ruby, with the pacing of Firesign Theatre, and an imagined world all its own, Dry Smoke and Whispers is a techno-noir drama with a sense of humor, and a memorable cast of characters. Emile Song, an eccentric, intelligent, and telepathic detective is given the task of catching the East End Reaper, a techno-fiend terrorizing the people of Quaymet.

Dry Smoke and Whispers: The East End Reaper

This is the introduction to the galaxy of Quaymet. Emille Song meets his most deadly foe. Who is he? Where did he come from? No one knows, but he's cutting a swath across the capital, taking out every crime syndicate in his way with deadly and hilarious Hi-Tech. He's dubbed himself "The East-End Reaper". Song takes up the challenge to uncover and stop this self-styled latter-day Napoleon. And along the dicey and casualty-strewn way, Emille is rescued from a back alley ambush by his Agency Partner to be: Professor Durrick Henchard, Weapons Expert.

Dry Smoke and Whispers: The Assassins of Hadaragule

A mysterious extraterrestrial can take out a city block by taking off the dive-bell helmet of his environmental suit. Song and Henchard investigate with a subterranean team of Neon Bowery allies - and discover the infamous East End Reaper is back, in aces and bent on revenge.

Dry Smoke and Whispers: A Devil's Workshop

It's small and jewel-blue, with wings and a maniacal laugh. Brought back to life from the Ancient Days of the Empire, a gem-stone filching homunculus is loose in the capital. It's evil, obviously, and must be destroyed. It takes a street-wise orphan of the Neon Bowery to set the capital, and even Song, aright.

Dry Smoke and Whispers: The Purple Emperor

A tiny Victorian-machinery butterfly. A diabolical hit man. And lethal case-loads of the darkest narcotic in the galaxy: Black Asylum. The fuse is lit - where will the bomb go off? Even Song is running three steps behind in a redemptive story that's a guesser to the very end.

Dry Smoke and Whispers: Vendetta

All is not well in the subterranean realm of The East End Reaper. The black markets of the capital are his: objective achieved. And so, he's off to the ends of the galaxy to deal with past demons - leaving a trail of mayhem which leads Song and Henchard, and the Reaper himself, to a most unexpected conclusion.

Dry Smoke and Whispers: The Shadowman Saga

These are dark times in Quaymet, brought on by the discovery of light - namely, a new power source, Solarium. But where do the elements of this boon to civilization come from? And who's directing how it's sold and used? Emile meets the ally - or is it enemy? - of a lifetime, a Man of Power who killed Song's father and now seems intent on killing him. Soon, Song and Henchard are drawn into a battle even they may not survive, as they go up against an empire that's being consumed by an ancient evil.

Dry Smoke and Whispers: The Shadowman Saga 2: Murder on the Huddleston Ferry

Some of the pieces have fallen into place: a galactic chess board is set, and the inner guards of royalty are in play. On board a galactic tourist cruiser, filled with innocents with very bad timing, three major powers of the galaxy play for ultimate stakes. Song is pushed to the limits of his abilities, almost loses his most trusted friend, and old enemies become allies, as he fights a losing battle against his most Machiavellian foe.

    • Where were you?  I was gone for awhile too.  I was in ICU.  I hope your disappearance was more pleasant.  I almost died on mine. I wnt to bed one one night with a little cough and woke up 3 days later in ICU with an endotracheal tube and respirator breathing for me.  i guess I had that new virus that is killing old people like me.  I must be a tough old bird. LOL  Enjoy this series, it is a good one.  ---- R

    • Mine was not as bad, I just had a bad cough. It made me cough till I would puke....YUCK.... but I am better now. Plus, living with my sister and mother, they got a new place and got to move. Only thing I hate more than a bad cough, it's moving! LOL! I hate being disabled! Marriage, wonderful institution, it almost put me in one!         Larry
