Dan Dare is a classic British science fiction comic hero, created by
illustrator Frank HampsonHampson not only invented Dan Dare and his
entire world, he also put together the original team of artists and
wrote the first two stories. Dan Dare appeared in the Eagle comic story
Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future in 1950, dramatised several times a week
on Radio Luxembourg. Program was broadcast in 1990 on the BBC
