  • I knew Bert Chandler, who wrote No.4 "The Cage".   I think this may be the first one of his stories to be adapted for radio or any other medium. 

    Bert died before the Internet really took off, but I can imagine him raising one eyebrow and taking a meditative puff of his pipe at the idea of one of his stories circulating in cyberspace.
