In 1987 Terry Pratchett was the first winner of the Dracula Society's "Children of the Night Award", for Mort. He wore white in those days!
In 2001 I was the thirteenth winner, for A Ghostly Crew. I like to think I didn't let the side down, even though I didn't wear white...
