A psychological thriller, set in mid-19th-century Paris, a cautionary tale of adultery, murder and revenge.
Orphaned as a young child, Therese Raquin is sent to live with her aunt, Madame Raquin, and her sickly son, Camille. Mme Raquin dotes on Camille, and she insists that he and Therese should marry, though there is no love between them.
In Paris, Therese and Mme Raquin set up a small haberdasher's shop and Camille takes a job with a railroad company in Paris, where he meets an old childhood friend, Laurent.

Dear Rick -
Thanks so much. I am enjoying some of these while I take some pain pills. Next visit to the tooth torturer comes Nov. 5, 2013. I am so glad I can listen to something else while they drill and fill.
Thanks,
Bob
