THE CASK OF AMONTILLADO

Although this Edgar Allan Poe short story from 1846 is among a list of Decca dramatized recordings as being "suitable for children," we don't recommend it for small fry. Actor Sydney Greenstreet brilliantly portrays the madman, Montresor, who holds a grudge against his friend, Fortunato. His plan is murder and winds up inflicting a horrible death upon him. An outstanding production!
