We present the great naval hero - Nelson! No, not Horatio, but his less famous brother, Maurice, a lowly and rather resentful clerk at the Admiralty. Horatio has just walloped the French fleet at the Battle of the Nile, but Maurice has an even more perilous challenge than Napoleon's navy...
Lord Nelson's "good friend" (ahem!) Lady Hamilton proposes to hold a ball to celebrate his victory, and Maurice must ensure that the Admiral's wife and mistress don't meet. With his junior clerk disguised as King George III and the King himself given to bouts of insanity (rather like most of us), the result is a comedy of heroic proportions.
(We'd like to point out that no pigeons were harmed during the making of this production, though several fops were severely hurt by unkind remarks about their wigs.)
