This intelligently abridged recording of Gaston Leroux's wonderful novel was released in the UK in 1987 by Listen For Pleasure, the spoken word arm of EMI. Anton Rodgers, better known for his roles in light comedy on stage and television, does a splendid job as narrator - though someone really ought to have caught and corrected his consistent mispronunciation of the word "concierge"!
(The novel has been filmed several times, but the best and most faithful version is still the 1925 silent movie starring Lon Chaney.)
Microsoft has drastically cut the available space on individual OneDrive accounts. If you'd like access to this recording, please tell me, and let me know your e-mail address so that I can send it to you.
