The Shadow (1964-1965)

This comic series was put out by Archie comics in the 1960's and consisted of exactly eight issues.

The series attempted to update the storyline and characters by losing the cape and hat (Issue 1 cover does show the hat and cape), while trying to make him more appealing to the younger audience.  The changes were not popular and the series ended after eight issues.
