Mrs. Brown's Boys

Mrs. Brown's Boys

Irish National Radio ("The Gareth O' Callaghan Show" on 2FM)

Early 1990s

96K - Coded from Cassette

Before Brendan O' Carrolls' "Mrs Brown's Boys" became the television smash hit BBC comedy
that everyone is familiar with... it originally began life as a daily 5 minute segment on an Irish
national afternoon radio show, "The Gareth O' Callaghan Show" on 2FM.

It was a very popular part of a once very popular early '90's radio show.
These 5 minute segments were compiled and released commercially in 1994 on three audio cassettes.
There was no CD release.

Although labelled 'Comedy', these broadcasts tended to focus more on the 'drama' aspects of
Mrs Brown's dysfunctional family. But the familiar comedic elements from the TV show are still recognizable.

Along with Brendan O' Carroll (he performs at least three of the character voices here), a number of the TV
actors are also present.
