A comedy series with Jack Warner as Joe and Kathleen Harrison as Ethel.

It ran from 1953-61 and was a spin-off from the cinema's popular comedy drama of 1947, Holiday Camp, which had introduced the salt-of-the-earth Huggett Family.

    Sadly, there were nine series comprising 20 episodes each. The BBC seems to have mislaid the majority

    The family worries when Joe is seen calling in at the doctor's surgery.

    There may be more to come but not for a while at least.

    Well I had not noted that the film came first, I had always assumed it was the other way round. Such a pity so few remain of this long running series.

      The good news is that more are on the way.

      I am unsure as to the number that the Beeb are broadcasting; but I hope to be able to add to these 5 in the coming weeks.
