London Calling
BBC Radio 2. A solo writing project, this ran for just four episodes from the 19th of September 1994 to the 22nd of September 1994. It starred Graham Crowden, Jimmy Perry, Peter Cellier, Jeffrey Holland, Bill Pertwee, Roy Hudd, Amanda Bellamy and others. This comedy was based around the early beginnings of the BBC, and was about the people running the BBC radio station 2LO. Jimmy originally wanted to put this on television and he thought it was his best idea since Dad's Army, but the BBC refused and it was made for radio. It could have been a success on TV, on radio it was difficult to understand what was going on as the cast seemed too big.
