What Do You Think? by Francis Durbridge.

A one-off crime drama from the pen of Paul Temple creator, Francis Durbridge.

Is a crime writer using his apparent breakdown and plotlines to mask an actual murder?

Superintendent Victor Wade receives a call from an old colleague, Charles Milford, who is currently visiting the UK from America.

Charles explains that he still has nightmares about the Greenfield case, which was never solved. Greenfield had been murdered and his body dumped in a pond. His nephew and heir, crime novelist Felix Leighton, had been a suspect but no-one was ever charged. Felix is inclined to confuse fact with fiction, which rather confuses the police.
