Thanks for the info Bob! That was the Christmas that got me collecting radio plays in earnest.Happy memories!
I am very curious as to the origin of the UK tradition of featuring murders, mayhem and ghoulish madness on Christmas. The Beeb seems to have an annual fest of ghost stories (trotting out MR James at least every other year) and murder mysteries.
Why the lurid fascination with these topics at Christmas?

The fatuous reply would be to counter all the good-will going round at that time of year,but i honestly don't know Bob. I was just grateful for the feast of murder mystery plays to see me throught the holiday season! I have all of these if you need them,but i suspect your collection probably surpasses my own!!?
