When an anonymous letter arrives for Mr Justice Barber, the High Court judge, warning of imminent revenge, he dismisses it as the work of a harmless lunatic.

But then a second letter appears, followed by a poisoned box of the judge's favourite chocolates, and he begins to fear for his life.

  • Thanks for the wonderful offering

  • Looks entertaining.  Who hasn't wanted to send a judge a box of poisoned chocolates?

  • Thank you, Rick, for posting this.  My antenna went up when I saw your acknowledgement of it yesterday, Robert.  Love SNTs.

    • Hi Gayle,

I haven't seen many Mystery stuff in dramatisations.  I will post when I find.  It seems to run in streaks.   I gave up my usenet subscription which I would get the BBC  but for that one thing it was not worth battling all the viruses and Trojans.  ----------------------------------------------------------------  R

    • Sorry to hear that usenet is so unpredictable-darn!    Rick, you and others have posted mountains of great Whodunits, and all I have to do is go back to the first postings, and they are almost brand new :-)

      Thank you for everything!!!

    • IHi Gayle,

'Im taking a break from it.  I have lost too much through crashes because of Usenet.  Nothing I do seems to stop it.  They manufacture viruses faster than I can stop them.  I hate to lose my main source of Whodunits but I cannot even back up fast enough to keep things off my C drive and out of harms way.  I think my computer is shot from too much abuse.  I really think I will have to find the money somewhere to get a new one soon.  -------------------------------------------------------------  R

  • Dear Rick -

I just discovered this gem.  Thanks for this offering.
