The loss of a parent when they are just 50 is bound to be a shock, but for the bright, ambitious barrister at the heart of this legal drama it's not her father's death so much as both her parents' lives that shake her to her very core. Sorting through her dad's clothes she comes across a slip of paper with seemingly random jottings upon it. Her natural instinct to find out what they mean uncovers things that you just don't want to imagine your parents ever having been involved in. It's a dark journey.
