The novel was published in 2006, and won the Costa Prize for 'Book of the Year'. The story starts with the discovery of the murder of a trapper, and then follows various events that occur as the murderer is sought.

Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful mystery. I truly enjoy stories from Canada. I lived for a short time in Toronto, Ontario back in the 1970s and I enjoyed hearing radio dramas from the CBC back then.
