This and the others I am posting were considered lost until recently when the BBC had a drive to recover plays that were foolishly recorded over in the past to save money. The deal was that if you turned in a recording of a show from the past you would not be prosecuted for recording it and after the BBC professionally restored it back to broadcast or CD quality they would send you a copy. That is why we now have an influx of older shows at high bitrates like 256K.

My thanks for these recent posts.

I heard a snippet on the news that the Beeb has finally digitised "The Radio Times" as far back as 1923 and that with luck information about programmes will be available to everyone by this time next year.

I can't wait for it. But I will.
