Jagged Prayer
Robert Smith
2005
A four-part crime comedy.
It's the start of an unlikely friendship, when the investigation into the murder of a body in a lake, leads DI Cromwell within the walls of a local convent and to the Mother Superior.
1: 'Where's Father Jack?'
A suspicious death in a pond brings together Mother Helen and DI Cromwell, who may be about to embark on a long and unlikely relationship.
2: 'Icon, or A Pocketful of Nuns'.
A murder brought them together, but for Mother Helen and DI Cromwell it is the theft of an icon that reunites them. And there is the small problem of Monsignor Nietzsche.
3: 'Sister Brother'.
When a convicted forger decides on a new career as a nun, the sex change is just the beginning of his problems. DI Cromwell is not amused when Mother Helen is put in danger.
4: 'Virtual Saints'.
Despite moving the convent into cyberspace, Mother Helen and her nuns are not safe from declining numbers. And DI Cromwell has the small matter of an old murder to solve.
