Mr Justice Coombe is a well-respected judge who has beautiful twin daughters. One goes to the Bar while the other becomes a solicitor. They each fall in love with the sons of Major Claude Buttonstep. Unfortunately the Major dislikes lawyers and cannot accept his sons' choice of partner. The Major is then unexpectedly forced into litigation with his neighbour, Mr Trotter and events take an interesting turn for everyone concerned . . .

Thank You for the program.
Oh, yay! Cecil's books are just charming but I have never seen or heard a dramatization. Thanks!
I can add to your enjoyment. :>) I'll be posting several other Cecil pieces as soon as i clean them up a bit.
many thanks for this Rick! Am looking forward to listening!
Yeah Rick!
Hi Gayle,
Thanks for the vote of confidence. The other 2 are older and with the BBC the older it is the harder it is to find. I am unsure but I think the Beeb was still recording over their old tapes because who would want old radio plays and it saved money in the budget. Throughout History men have made foolish decisions. Now they are asking collectors who recorded them to send the recordings back so they can use their technical wizardry to restore the recordings back to broadcast quality again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rick
Actually Peter once retrieved a box of BBC tapes from a bin behind Broadcast House! I know he managed to restore about a dozen plays from them, although several were in bad shape having been recorded over and over and over.
He's since sent them BACK to the Beeb as well as copies of his encodes to the VRPCC.
Of course, this sort of stupidity is not limited to the folks across the pond. Look at the number of OTR shows, even as recent as the 195o's for which NO episodes remain.
Quite true. I know that on Usenet some members of the BBC sites routinely post the request by the Beeb for old rare treasures to restore. It is a shame. I know people who have bought boxes of 78 rpm records here and the ones that are transcription records, not music were used for target practice. Is everyone crazy. I was totally appalled when I was told about this, but what is done is done. You cannot put them back together. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rick
BLESS YOU! Now there are just the two Carter Dicksons to find.
I'll add this to the set on my server for everyone.
Thanks.
Bob
I am still looking. -------------------- Rick
