Cheers, Rick for a great posting. Reginald Hill was truly a gem of crime fiction: He created (along with Morse) one of the most memorable characters in  "Fat Andy" Dalziel. Your endeavours are very much appreciated by our lot Down Under. Sadly, Reginald is no longer with us, but his creations will continue .... as indeed will your great taste in books, etc.  Cheers, Dave. PS He won the coveted Gold Dagger for best crime novel through the CWA of Britain for this one.
