A man comes into the office looking for Dee, as the journalist who three years previous covered the ‘red valley virus’ a sensational story for which Dee became so famous she left the country. Now a failing artist, she has returned to Wales and her job on the local newspaper.

Investigative reporter Dee Mitchell returns to Swansea from exile in Spain to find herself embroiled in a death, cover-up and conspiracy. Her reputation draws her into the mysterious death of 28 year old student Sarah Massey. Did she uncover something untoward about a water pollution ‘accident’?

The Secret Sound of the Sitka Spruce

An inventor who claims to have discovered a non-chemical system of promoting crop growth has his reputation smeared. Dee is reluctant to get involved.
