"Afternoon Call" by Ivor Wilson. It all starts normally enough - with the discovery of a body. But as Detective Chief Inspector Turner investigates, the questions pile up faster than the answers. And then there's the final surprise. It looked like a cut-and-dried homicide that could be cleared quickly and passed to the public prosecutor. But then it began to fragment into dangerous shards that promised trouble for Inspector Turner and his team.

This looks especially tricky. Love it.

Thanks again for a CBC/BBC Drama I had never heard before. I am truly thankful for your sharing this with others.

Looking again this looks like a SNT from the BBC re-broadcast in 3 x 30 minute episodes - I will have a look into this.

Yes it has the same actors anyway I made it into one file and will call it a new SNT (to me)

With Geoffrey Hinsliff as DCI Turner, Russell Dixon as Constable Wilkinson, Jane Collins.
Recording in collection is a three-part broadcast from Ausralia/New Zealand.
An interesting set here, one never knows what is going to turn up with this CBC set.
