Dr. Peter Lewis, head of an experimental heroin clinic, is kidnapped from a party to perform an operation on a woman who's had an accident in an explosion. The kidnappers threaten to kill him if he doesn't save her. When he says the only way she can be saved is to be in hospital, the kidnappers decline, drug the doctor, and leave. The next morning the doctor finds his way home only to have the police arrive to arrest him on a charge of murder.
