A Murder Is Announced (Miss Marple)

BBC Radio Full-Cast Drama

I have been looking around at some of the dramatisations on the site with low bitrates. Most of them were collected and posted before the bar for good sound was set at 128K and bitrates above that were considered better still. The copy residing on the site is 64K Mono, so I looked to see what I had and 128K Stereo sounds much better both figuratively and literally. Now, I know that Bob can probably best me with an even better copy, but sometimes you have to give to get. Here is my better copy donation to TP of one of "The Queen of Murder's" best.
A BBC Radio full-cast dramatisation starring June Whitfield as the deceptively mild spinster sleuth.
The villagers of Chipping Cleghorn, including Miss Marple, are agog with curiosity over an advertisement in the local gazette which reads: 'A murder is announced and will take place on Friday October 29th , at Little Paddocks at 6.30pm.
Is it a hoax? As the time approaches, the crowds gather at Little Paddocks;and then the lights go out.
This was Agatha Christie's fiftieth book - acknowledged to be one of the best.
Five episodes of approximately thirty minutes each - episode summaries witheld to avoid spoiling the plot.
