Week-ends and Fill ins On Coast To Coast AM

Ian Punnett In 1998[1], Punnett began occasionally hosting Coast to Coast AM. In April 2000, Punnett became the regular Sunday-night host for Coast to Coast. He was the first person other than Art Bell to be "given" a night of the week in his or her name. In December, 2001, Punnett left Coast to Coast AM with Ian Punnett to do mornings in the Twin Cities for Hubbard Broadcasting and to concentrate on finishing seminary. His replacement for Sunday nights was George Noory who would eventually take over the entire show when Art Bell retired again a few years later. Although Punnett occasionally acted as a guest host, he did not rejoin Coast to Coast AM on a full-time basis until June of 2005 when Art Bell, who had been doing the two weekend shifts again, announced that he wanted to host just one night a week in order to spend more time traveling with his wife, Ramona. Coast to Coast AM with Ian Punnett once again returned to the weekly line-up, this time on Saturdays. On January 21, 2006, after the death of Ramona Bell, Punnett announced that Art Bell, the creator and original host of Coast to Coast AM would be returning from retirement to host each Saturday and Sunday night. Punnett then moved to Coast to Coast Live with Ian Punnett, a new, four hour program, on January 28, 2006. The new show occupied a slot (6 pm-10 pm PST/9 pm-1 am EST), the same period that previously broadcast repeats of older Coast to Coast AM episodes (Coast to Coast AM begins at 1 am EST/10 pm PST). Many existing Coast to Coast AM affiliates automatically carried Punnett's new program from its first night, and in subsequent months several new affiliates came on board. As of June 2007, its affiliate count stood around 200. Since his affiliation with C2CAM (especially during his tenure with Coast to Coast Live), Punnett developed a loyal following of his own. He always opened the show with the "reminder" to 'hostile invading aliens' hovering just beyond earth's atmosphere to 'Eat the Canadians first', saying they are 'much tastier' than Americans. After the retirement of Art Bell in July 2007, Coast to Coast Live was discontinued, with Punnett once again becoming host of the Saturday night edition of C2CAM. Show episodes with themes pertaining to cryptozoology or government conspiracies (favorite subjects of Coast to Coast AM) are generally designated to Punnett and slotted for Saturday nights. Ian Hosts every Saturday Night and one Sunday a month. George Noory also hosts one Sunday a month and the other two Sundays the hosts change. The other hosts will be introduced as they come up

Philanthropist and activist Madeleine Pickens (the wife of T. Boone Pickens), along with horse advocate Jerry Reynoldson, discussed their quest to save thirty-thousand wild horses by building a sanctuary for them. These wild horses are currently kept in holding facilities by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at an increasing cost to taxpayers. In this current environment, the animals can't run or exercise or even get much shade, said Pickens, who added that this arrangement is neither fair for the horses, or the taxpayers.

She has proposed that a private foundation create a sanctuary for the wild horses. About one million acres in size, the sanctuary would be securely fenced in so the horses don't graze on neighbors' property, she explained. Such a sanctuary, placed in Nevada, for instance, could serve as an historical/educational attraction, and highlight the wild Mustang as part of America's heritage, said Pickens and Reynoldson.

Reynoldson noted the proposed foundation would be a non-profit, and though there is congressional support for it, he warned there was still a chance that the government would OK killing some of the horses, so it was important for citizens to get involved and support the sanctuary proposal.

    Foreign Oil Independence

First hour guest, legendary oil and gas executive T. Boone Pickens laid out his groundbreaking plan to stop America's dependence on foreign oil. His non-partisan "blueprint" calls for accessing U.S. reserves of natural gas (which doesn't need processing in an oil refinery), and developing vehicles such as trucks that can run on it. Natural gas could act as a stopgap measure for the next 20-30 years, until renewable methods are in place. He is also an advocate for wind power, and is developing a wind farm in Texas that will eventually produce 4,000 megawatts of power.

Filling in for George, Art Bell talked to Dr. Dean Radin, Senior Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, about advancements in psi research and mass consciousness studies. He said the implications of this phenomena are frightening. A number of groups at prominent universities are currently engaged in psi research, and there are likely programs in Russia and China, Radin added, declining to share further details about what he knew about them.

Radin discussed Princeton University's Global Consciousness Project, which looked at how random number generators called EGGs (Electro-GaiaGram) were affected by major world events. According to a paper published last year by Peter Bancel and Roger Nelson, there is a correlation between how the EGGs responded, for example, to a natural disaster or terrorist attack, suggesting that mass consciousness and the event are somehow linked. The primary effect occurred over land masses and distance seemed to matter, Radin pointed out, as there were larger correlations with EEGs close to the events than the ones that were distant.

Radin shared results from a study he performed that looked at the relationship between moon cycles and the psi abilities of individuals playing casino games. He noted that people won slightly more during a full moon. He informed Art about a portable Random Event Generator created by a student from Princeton. He said it was based on the same patented device employed by the Global Consciousness Project and could be used by Coast listeners for their own field consciousness experiments.

Radin also covered Lynne McTaggart's Intention Experiment, how ESP might be related to quantum entanglement, mind-activated technologies, and his recently published article on UFOs, as well as the "love study," in which he looked at whether a person's beneficial thoughts/emotions could cause a physiological change in the body of a loved one recovering from cancer.

    George Knapp

    Guests:
    Paul LaViolette, Col. John Alexander

George Knapp was joined by physicist and author Paul LaViolette, who discussed the physics behind anti-gravity propulsion technology and showed how it is not only possible, but is currently being used in secret projects by our own government. "We're sort of being held in a 'technology cage,' on purpose, for fear of change," he said about what he believes to be a decades-long clandestine development of anti-gravity technology by the United States.

"A lot of this work has been going on since the end of WWII, if not before," LaViolette said about the quest to break the bonds of gravity. He detailed some of the early experiments conducted by Nikola Tesla and T. Townsend Brown, who both used electricity to affect gravity. LaViolette noted that, in the mid-1950's, numerous aviation companies were not only attempting to develop anti-gravity technology but were quite open and enthusiastic about it -- until 1959. "Suddenly it was like a blackout in the media," he observed. This sudden silence, LaViolette surmised, was at the behest of the US government.

He asserted that the B2 Stealth Bomber is a contemporary craft that utilizes anti-gravity capabilities. LaViolette speculated that it uses jet engines to take off, but then makes use of anti-gravity propulsion to maneuver. This, he said, adds an additional layer to the jet's stealth capabilities since, if his theories were correct, it could "go into the stratosphere, or beyond, and then just come down directly over the country they were entering." Extrapolating from there, he mused that the US can probably travel in space with ease and may even have a base on the moon.

    Iranian Unrest & Remote Viewing

In the first hour, Col. John Alexander talked about the ongoing discord in Iran and the state of remote viewing. On the subject of the Iranian uprisings, he expressed concern over where they may be headed, saying "you are looking at, potentially, another Tiananmen Square." Regarding remote viewing, Alexander theorized that government sponsored RV programs are probably not in existance any longer, since "the talent pool of trusted agents is really very small." However, he did say that there are sometimes unique circumstances where high ranking officials turn to a former government remote viewer, "as a friend," for insight.
