Radio Mysterioso

SHOW HOST GREG BISHOP became interested in UFOs at a very early age. He has no idea why. In 1991, he cofounded a magazine entitled The Excluded Middle, for the purpose of educating himself first, and secondly, passing on the info to interested readers. TEM was a journal of UFOs, conspiracy research, psychedelia and new science (now online at www.excludedmiddle.com ). "Wake Up Down There!" a collection of articles from the magazine, was published in 2000. His internet show, "Radio Misterioso," can be heard on Sundays from 8-10 PM PST at www.killradio.org. Interviews with fringe-topic researchers and weird music are the usual fare.

    Radio Misterioso
    A rare UFO audio gem
    Albert K. Bender’s Contactee Experiences

The largest (best attended) indoor UFO convention in US history took place on the weekend of June 24, 1967 in the Hotel Commodore in New York City. Organized by UFO researcher James Moseley, speakers included John Keel and Roy Thinnes, who was the star of the popular Invaders TV show. Tim Beckley recalls: "There were quite a variety of speakers like Venus from the planet Venus, Dr. Frank Stranges, Howard Menger, and in fact Dr. Condon of the infamous Condon Report was there. He was in the audience taking notes."

Another personality who “appeared” so to speak, was Albert K Bender, famous for his founding of the International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB), and his book on the Men In Black enigma. Due to unspecified fears or some other reason, he sent a tape recording of his presentation which was played to a room full of eager listeners.

Bender described his MIB experiences, the history of the IFSB and curiously, his growing contactee-type experiences which were going to be part of a book that publisher Gray Barker was going to release. The book never saw the light of day. Barker described it as “not good enough to do anything with.”

Bender apparently lives about 5 miles from me, but I have repeatedly heard that he wants nothing to do with any UFO researchers, so I have left him alone.

I have posted this before at ufomystic, but the link is broken, and I can’t seem to find the speech anywhere else online. The snippet of introduction at the beginning is the voice of Gray Barker. ~Greg Bishop~

  • The Lost Bill Moore Interviews (Epsiode 1)

Bill Moore is famous (or infamous) in ufological circles as the discoverer (or accused creator) of the MJ-12 documents, and the author of both The Philadelphia Experiment and The Roswell Incident. I believe he has been above-ground in his dealings with me, but he had a reputation as the bad boy of UFO research, since he searched for truths in the government labyrinth of secrecy, and didn’t really care what others thought of him.

Moore has appeared on Radio Misterioso a total of six times from 2003 to 2007. Over the next few months I’ll post the four shows that haven’t been heard publicly since the original broadcasts. As far as I know, Moore has not given any public interviews other than these since the early 1990s.

This program, from August 8th of 2004, also features my sometime co-host Walter Bosley. Bosley’s career included stints as both an FBI Special Agent and an employee of the Air Force Office of Special Investigation, and lends his view of the workings of government secrecy and procedure.

Subjects discussed include: the Mars rovers, Col. John Alexander, people who keep government secrets, the craft of disinformation, the origin of the term “greys,” theories that the Moon is hollow, underground civilizations, the origins of man on in North America, the 2004 election, the mysterious artist Charles Delleschau and his connection to the 19th century airship mystery, the Aurora UFO crash and Moore’s (then) forthcoming book on the origins of the Mormon church.

There are two other Moore interviews available for download on my page at Radio4all.net.
    • The picture says it all.
    • Alexandra “Chica” Bruce is a smart cookie. I’ve known her for about a decade, but we’ve only been able to meet in person a few times. She first came to my attention with her book The Philadelphia Experiment Murder: Parallel Universes and the Physics of Insanity.

Since then, Chica has written six more books on subjects ranging from myths and realities of the 2012 “apocalypse” to a new translation and examination of testimony from the 1917 Fatima apparitions to investing in rare wines.

On February 28th, we took a day trip to Santa Barbara with the aim of getting Chica a paraglider flight. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, but I had her captive for the day, and convinced her to come by for a live appearance on Radio Misterioso.

She talked about her own startling UFO sighting at the age of 14 in Brazil. We then moved on to a short discussion of a book which accuses Tibetan Buddhist monks of various abuses, then an in-depth look at her Fatima book, and the implications of the prophecies that were revealed to the witnesses. We also talked about the devastating Chile earthquake, which had just occurred the day before, and the evidence of tidal surges we observed in the beach just that day. Chica talked about possible cosmic influences on the Earth and possible connections to the rash of recent earthquakes. This led to a conversation about the history of the planet as described by the theories of catastrophism (i.e. the work of Immanuel Velikovsky.) We end with some musical fun.
    • Andy Colvin showed up in L.A. unexpectedly last weekend, so of course I had to ask him on the show. Colvin is the author of three books (and two more in the pipe) on the Mothman phenomenon. All are called The Mothman’s Photographer (I, II and III), which Colvin has dubbed himself after repeated involvement with and synchroncities surrounding the notorious events in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. He also directed a 30-hour documentary on people and events surrounding the phenomenon.

We assumed that our audience is familiar with the “standard” Mothman story, and did not attempt to explain or recap the occurrences. If you are not, please refer to the excellent book by John Keel.

We talked about little-known strangeness connected with the history leading up to the collapse of the Silver Bridge across the Ohio River in December of 1967. Andy recalls his childhood in the area and the plethora of defense and chemical company employees in the communities surrounding Point Pleasant. Government intrigue and possible efforts at suppressing organized labor in the nearby Union Carbide facility may have fed into the paranoia and a rich local paranormal/ psychic stew.

Colvin muses about semi-famous contactee Woodrow Derenberger and his creepy spaceman friend Indrid Cold, guessing that Cold may have been completely human and employed by industrial concerns to monitor labor unrest in the area under a disguise of strangeness.

Andy also told us about a group of genius-level children in the local schools, one of whom had apocalyptic and prophetic visions which he shared with Colvin and which continue to come true in his life. Other children saw Mothman and Mothman-like entities as well.

My favorite part of Colvin’s outlook is that he doesn’t “believe” any of his research, but remains fascinated by the connections and implications (real, symbolic or otherwise) of what he has found in the last several years.

Sound intriguing? Unbelievable? Paranoia-inducing? You have no idea. Enjoy the episode!
    • Robert Emenegger – Weapons Of Mass Disinfo

Robert Emenegger emerged from the advertising and entertainment industry in the 1960s as a sharp and innovative mind. The United States Department of Defense took notice and asked him and his partner Alan Sandler to produce a few small films on contract. In 1971, they hit him with a bomb: would he like to produce a film on what the Government knew about UFOs and aliens? He would have the full cooperation of the Air Force and other agencies, and they also promised to provide film footage of an actual flying saucer landing at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico sometime in the 1960s.

Who could refuse? Soon, Emenegger was visiting the Pentagon, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and Holloman itself. He was given apparently free reign of the facilities and encouraged to ask anything he wanted. Even Major Donald Keyhoe, who failed to get the U.S. government to open up about the subject in the 1950s, called to say he was outraged that mere civilians were getting access to stories he was never allowed to hear. The film, which was entitled UFOs: Past, Present and Future, was going well.

Just before deadline, an Air Force contact, who had been nothing but cooperative, called to say that they would not be allowed to use the Holloman footage. The climax of the film was ruined and Emenegger had to go with some hastily-produced drawings to describe the story.

Along the way, he saw government scientists blowing holes in concrete walls with lasers, using computers to read human minds, and sophisticated (for the time) 3-D holography. During the interview, I sometimes thought that Emenegger was trying to tell us a little more about advanced technology in the last 50 years than most of us could know or guess.

He also describes a meeting with Col. Phillip Corso in the 1980s when Corso described finding pictures of alien-looking beings in a file cabinet, and how that story may have changed considerably to fit the bill for his sensationalistic 1997 book, The Day After Roswell.

Enjoy this fascinating and rare talk with a little-known figure in the history of the UFO subject.

P.S. Bob was also a major creative force behind the Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp kid’s show of the early 1970s, which I watched faithfully when I was a wee lad. He wrote all of the songs for the show, among other contributions. We talked about this, but for some reason the recording cut off about 5 minutes from the end of the interview. Does someone want to keep Lance Link under wraps!? You decide!
  • Richard Senate, author of "The Haunted Southland" and "Ghosts of the California Missions" among others discusses his 2-decade search for evidence of ghosts. Topics: London's 1907 airship mystery, time-slips, the terrifying Billiwack Monster underground tunnels, a spectral "time-window" and how to deal with evil entities. Part 2 features a story about a "ghost hippie" haunting his old stash site. Senate's site is at www.ghost-stalker.com.
  • Former Air Force Intelligence officer and FBI agent Walter Bosley talks about his life, his very special "mentor," and why some people in the government are into some very weird stuff. Was the crash at Roswell not from outer space, but the inner Earth?
Documentary filmmaker Ralph Coon ("Whispers From Space") joins in the discussion and asks the straight guy questions.
    • PETER ROBBINS is the co-author of "Left At East Gate," the story of a 1980 UFO landing at an Air Force base in England, so of course we asked him to tell about his adventures traveling through Pakistan and India in the early 1970s.
Greg considers Peter to be a master storyteller. Get ready to bust a gut or whatever you're listening to this with. In part 2, Robbins discusses his research into the life of "outsider" scientist Wilhelm Reich. Reich's research ranged from psychology to weather control, for which he was jailed by the Federal government after a smear campaign by elements of the FDA.
