Long John Nebel and Jean Shepherd on WOR NY and then WMCA from the late 50s to the mid 70s narrated the UFO scene in America talking to serious researchers, abductees and also crackpots who added comedy to the show. This was during the first UFO flap and is an interesting slice of history.

Also a discussion about Daroes people who live in the center of the Earth; whether flying saucers are around to loot the Daro technology etc. A classic Long John show.Brouhaha about Keyhoe being cut off from the 'Armstrong Circle Theatre' when he was discussing UFOs. Phone discussion with Irv Tunik and others connected with the show.Long John and his regulars visit a flying saucer convention at the Howard Menger farm in New Jersey (Menger claimed to have flown to Venus in a flying saucer - not on this tape unfortunately). The audio isn't too good but there were a lot of interviews with participants in the convention - A nice slice of Ufology.

Guests were Jim Moseley of Saucer News fresh from a trip to Peru; Isobelle Davis of Civilian Saucer Intelligence; Doug Dean; Warren Icpac a sportswriter for a New York paper. Talk was about pre-historic saucer visits to Pero Nazca lines, and KonTiki.
This is great. I used to listen to him in the early 70's. I most remember the shows he did with his wife as co-host, the lovely WWII pin up girl Candy Jones who claimed to be the victim of a CIA mind control experiment. She continued on radio for some years after his death keeping the same format. You never knew what she was going to do or say.....her mood seemed to change minute to minute.
In the 70's here on Long Island we had Joel Martin. He had a nightly show on WBAB-FM. He introduced the world to psychic George Anderson who, along with the Great Edgar Cayce, I personally believe to be the real deal. I have three friends who saw Psychic Medium George and were helped tremendously by his readings. I've tried on occasion to find audio of his old shows but so far nothing. I believe they've both appeared on the radio with Art Bell. James
