This Ning Network says I need an invitation to join. How do I get one?

One of the privacy options that Network Creators can select is "invitation only." When a social network is invitation only, you have to receive an invitation from a member of the social network before you can join. You can recognize social networks like this by the sign in page you’ll see instead of the main page when visiting, with a message that you need an invitation to join. Image
To get an invitation, you’ll need to contact a member of the social network, since only social network members can send you an invitation. You could call up a friend in the social network, send a Ning message to a member who you’re friends with on a different social network, or use any other means to contact a member. Any member can send you an invitation through the social network’s Invite tab – you don’t need an Administrator or the Network Creator.

Once a member has sent you an invitation, you’ll receive an email with an invitation link. Be sure that when you click this link, you’re ready to fill out your profile on the social network and finish joining before doing anything else. If you don’t finish signing up in one session, or if you navigate to another web page while signing up, your invitation will expire and you’ll need a new one.
