Voyagers by Ben Bova

An alien spacecraft has entered the solar system, heading for Earth. Where did it come from? Why is it coming to us? What do they want? Every major nation wants to contact the aliens, enlist them as allies, and learn their superior technology so that they can dominate the Earth. American scientist/astronaut, Keith Stoner, flies to the approaching alien spacecraft and learns its secret. But he can't return to Earth.

Enjoy!

  • It doesn't ring a bell as being here.  I usually remember Scifi that is here and I don't remember this one.   I truthfully do not think it is here.  I checked my own files and I don't have it.  That gives it a very high probability of not being here.  Most Scifi novels are quite safe because I like dramatisations.  I listen to very few audibooks.  They put me to sleep and since my accident my attention span does not tolerate one reader well unless they are very very good.  I do download and archive Scifi Audiobooks, but I am not quite sure why.  I just do.  I think I am hoping they find an cure and I can read books and listen to audiobooks again.

I think it's time to just go with the search.  If it's here and someone finds a double then so be it.  This is a horrendous group to search by hand so we trust the search and if it's wrong, so what.  If you still have qualms don't post it.  ----------------  R

  • The last one I have is City of Darkness read by Harlan Ellison - but I have a feeling that might be here already somewhere (though search doesn't turn it up). Am I right?

  • Thank You!  Looks like it is going to be a Ben Bova week.  -----------------------------------  R
