Hello everybody.
Well I've uploaded stuff in the first group I joined on Times Past (Holmes) and as I've got some great books from this group it's time I started giving back here as well.
I have 3 different versions of Jamaica Inn by the BBC. Two of them are 4 part dramatisations - one from 1975 and the other more common one from the 90s I vaguely recall.
For 10 nights over Xmas (2010) the BBC broadcast a new abridged reading of the book by Tamsin Grieg in the 15 minute Book at Bedtime slot. I really liked this version, more than both dramatisations, as well as hearing Grieg attempt England's West Country accent which is where I live. I'll upload a text file at the end with all the info and copy a bit of it here. It includes descriptions of each part but in theory I'd call them spoilers.

Thanks, Jake.
Listening to this excellent reading was a great way to spend the last 2 1/2 hours.

Please note the files 8 and 9 are not in the right order. Once they are all in one folder they will automatically sort themselves out though. (I blame Ning!)

I couldn't resist a couple of photos of Jamaica Inn as it is today!

Thanks so much Jake. DuMaurier is one of my favorites and I didn't have this version. Suzanne
