The BBC ran this family saga over I believe, 12 seasons. It revolved around the Huggett family with Jack Warner as head of the household and Kathleen Harrison as his wife. It became a radio series after several successful films with both of these actors.
As happened with many series and individual plays, the BBC either lost, destroyed or recorded over them - unbelievable and which is why I get annoyed when they claim Copyright to stop those interested in OTR, sharing programmes. The BBC even pleads with listeners who recorded many of these lost programmes, to provide them with copies. End of rant!
It seems that only six episodes remain. Does anyone know of any more?
Thanks
Peter

I've only managed to find six.
No fear
Loser pays
Transatlantic tangle
What unusual wallpaper
Clean linen
ail and hearty
When you consider how long the series lasted 6 is so few. I suppose no one was recording it at the time.

You are of course quite right, but it is that the BBC never seemed to realise that these programmes were at an emotional level, a legacy to future generations, and in financial reality, was a waste of resources. The BBC admits that many recordings of plays etc, were either lost, dumped or recorded over - hence the plea to the nation for lost recordings. End of moan!
